A tour of White Pocket in Northern Arizona is a journey through an otherworldly landscape tucked within the stunning Vermilion Cliffs. Imagine a sprawling sandstone wonderland with vivid layers of white, yellow, red, orange, and pink—each twist and striation telling its own ancient story. Here, you’ll find pockmarks that catch rainwater, mushroom-like formations, brain-like bulges, and wave patterns that baffle even seasoned geologists. Some believe an ancient earthquake liquefied this sandstone, leaving it warped and sculpted long before it solidified under immense pressure.
You’ll start your adventure with a drive past the stunning Vermilion Cliffs to the meeting point at Jacob Lake. Tour Departs at 8:45, please plan to arrive at least 30 minutes early. This is an all day tour that is 8 hours round trip and is considered a relatively easy hiking day, with a rating of 3 out of 10 on their difficulty scale. Dreamland Safari are the perfect guides to take you through this amazing landscape.
